17 Oct In Memory of Theresa Cassidy
It is with heavy hearts that we let you know we have lost a dedicated patient advocate, committed researcher, and friend. Theresa Cassidy, who was the Associate Program Director of the Alport Syndrome Treatments and Outcomes Registry (ASTOR), passed away after a long battle with Cancer. Theresa was a critical bridge between the academic and patient communities and fostered a strong collaborative relationship between ASTOR and ASF. Through her many interactions with families affected by Alport Syndrome she always expressed an incredible amount of empathy and sought to incorporate the patient perspective in her work with ASTOR. She will be missed but we can think of no better way to honor her memory than to continue our collaborative work to find new treatments and a cure for Alport Syndrome. Thank you, Theresa, for all your work on behalf of the Alport Syndrome community.
